Helloooo is there anybody out there?

Wow...how's everyone doing these days?

I've been working on a product at work which ishttp://www.blogger.com/img/gl.link.gif pretty much ready to ship. I felt lots of pressure from myself to do a good job and am happy to have gave it my all. It was challenging for me in many ways. One being a COMPLETELY new set of tools and technologies and another being my first packagable product, meaning this is something that anyone can buy off the self.

I worked with some of the smarted guys ever in my career. I was lucky to have guys like Rob around for support. I'm looking forward to posting a link to the product page when if finally ships. Until then it's hold on and stand ready for the bug reports.

A side from my day job I had a massive load of other stuff on my plate, including my family life, personal life, band life, and a little bit of consulting life. Through it all I've been stressed more that I can ever remember. What I'm walking away from this is a drive to pick and choose the important things to do.

What I want to arrange is a more quality family and personal life. I want to spend time with my kids without stress. They are really first in my life and I should never loose sight of that.

The band life has been unreal. I never expected to be playing 1, 2 or even 3 nights a week. That can really take a toll on your life. It's late nights during the weekends and early nights during the week days. In the beginning my bands mates and I would jump to any occasion to play. But now with the band in demand we've stepped back and are choosing our gigs more wisely. These days they are paying us well and most all of them are local. So that's really nice.

My consulting work has been a place where I can expand my experience, try new things, maintain a network of professionals in my career, and earn a little extra money. This year started of at a cool breezy pace but took a turn to extreme madness! At first I took on as much as I could but as the work at Pelco increased I soon realized that there's no way I could match both. I was lucky to find some really good tallent to help fill in. So good that I expect to continue working with them on other projects. Soon the consulting work will return to the breezy pace it started but with the help in place I'm expecting to pull back even more.

More to come...
