Late night at work

With the summer ending so is the work I've done on the Pelco Digital Video Recorder (DVR5100). Our team has worked hard over the summer to deliver and we're all proud of our work.
That shot was taken in the lab while we were testing some of the last bug fixes.

MySpace Help!
Do you use MySpace?
Do you have seizures from the horrible display of styles?
Do you need a solution?

Crosswind
Last week I flew out to a private airstrip in the desert that was near some bare hills. It's a strip I've landed on many times before...however this time was different. As I was making my turn to line up for the approach I noticed the crosswind was much stronger than before...a LOT stronger. It was the first time I've seen the windsock strait and at a 90 degree angle to the runway.
My approach ended up being completely off and I had to abort the landing to try again. The second time around I made a wider turn and was able to compensate for the crosswind. I landed with sweaty palms but it was as smooth as any. I walked away with a notch of experience with that one.
Here's some video of the pros in much larger planes:

Travel Plans Ahead
This year has been extremely busy for me. My day job had been steady all year, my little consulting business became a 4 man effort over night, and the band situation has been a huge sucess in this little town called Visalia.
To make up for all the crazy madness, I started planning a few trips to give balance to it all:
- Sept: San Luis Obispo and the Bay Area for a Dave Mathews Concert
- Oct: 4 days in Kansas City to see Jessi and to check out the music scene
- Oct: 7 days in Hawaii with my brother to surf, hike, and decompress
- Nov: 3 days in Seattle to visit a co-worker and friend who recently moved to the area
- Dec: A big plan to spend the new years on an island south of florida (where's my cigar?)
I'll definitly post all I can as they happen....
Ciao!

I received this text message from someone I know. It's been bouncing around my head:
"Sacred contract: things u hold dear to ur heart are best kept gaurded if not the people u reveal it to become characters in the storys plot changing the destiny"
